Focus groups with teenagers have been conducted in 2014 to understand needs and behaviours of Pegaso final users.
A specific survey has been carried out considering 182 participants aged 13 to 16, in three European countries (Spain, Italy and UK).
Over 90% of the participants already have a smartphone and they use it mainly during the afternoon and evening hours, with sporadic cases of intensive use during school hours.
The use of social network is important since teenagers spend more than 1 hour per day chatting, sharing contents (videos and images) and playing games during the evening.
Another important issue, considered during the focus groups, was the time spent by teenagers in doing physical activities: 80% undertake exercise for more than 1 hour within PE in school and 56% of the research participants spend more than 1 hour doing exercise in sport clubs during the afternoon.
